I have been facinated with photography since high school when my father accepted a camera as payment for an outstanding bill. After high school I attended a technical school where I learned photography was my calling. Then, in 1984 I earned a bachelors degree in Photojournalism from Winona State University. For the next 15 years I worked as a photojournalist for newspapers in Minnesota and Michigan. During those years I learned to shoot under pressure in every imaginable situation including the Super Bowl, World Series and US Open.
In 1999 I moved to Duluth where I am the full-time photographer at the University of Minnesota Duluth. At UMD, my duties include creating images for university publications and web sites as well as for our 14 athletic teams.
I have been photographing weddings since 1980. I fit my style to the couple’s taste combining a real photojournalist’s eye with beautiful portraits. My five wedding packages are all under $2,000 with each including a CD or prints. Please fill out a request form under the contact button on this site for a brochure.
My photos have been published worldwide including the New York Times, Sport’s Illustrated, Women’s World and YM magazines. I belong to the Wedding and Portrait Photographer’s International (WPPI); National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP); University Photographers’ Asssociation of America (UPAA) and Sportshooter.com
Feel free to call or email to set up a personal wedding photography consultation.
