I photographed a couple who are getting married in July at Superior Shores. I happened to be in Minneapolis that weekend so we met at the Graves Hotel where they were staying. This hotel is a photographers dream with bright neon lights and colors. It is also about as different as the shores of Lake Superior providing Malarie and Tait with some great contrasting images.
Both are young energetic and clearly in love, which made my job easy. Their wedding should
produce some beautiful fun images and I look forward to it.

Megan and Paul came to Duluth from Michigan last weekend for their engagement session. They are a quiet and easy to photograph couple. I look forward to their October wedding.

Today I shot the mono-ski day at Spirit Mountain. I have volunteered at this event for many years and always enjoy seeing
the faces of the young people who are able to ski for the first time.

I shot ice climbing with a group from the University Minnesota Duluth last weekend. I have shot this before and always enjoy it. The sights and sounds of being below the frozen falls is awe-inspiring. I have been bringing wedding couple to the falls in the summer for 10 years. The rocks never change but the water is always different. Sometimes the falls are angry as a fresh rainfall pounds down the hillside into a powerful blur. Other times the falls are but a trickle and the place seems empty and serene. Winter can be beautiful. We forget that sometimes tucked inside our warm houses plugged into all our electronic distractions. Thanks for looking :)

Agree, the colors make this picture subtle and stunning. The place is simple but the lights make this moment extra special.
